Manufacturing quality windows, doors and staircases since 1972
A warm welcome awaits you. We encourage all customers to visit our workshop to view current projects being manufactured and view a selection of different styles of windows, doors and staircases in our display area. Our team are not sales people, but ‘hands on’ qualified and experienced experts in design and joinery, and will happily guide you through the options available to suit your style preference and budget.
We pride ourselves in excellent customer service. We have a well-deserved reputation for delivering quality products on time and have developed close relations with our customers, and although we supply the construction industry, we still offer our individual customers the highest level of project consideration and great value for money! We have a dedicated local workforce, many of who joined the company as apprentices, direct from school and are still with us today. We feel this reflects our excellent work ethics and team quality.
What We Do
We supply many of the major house builders, such as Persimmon Homes, Linden Homes and many more, with our products in many developments throughout the North of England from the east to west coast.
Your personal and home security is important to us and we work to above the standard recommendations. Our windows are manufactured and fitted with Maco Multi-Point Locking Systems and supply Door Sets (Door & Frame) fitted with high security Rhino Bolt Espagnolette Multi-Point Locking Systems.
We pride ourselves on working to the highest standards within the Industry for performance and quality, with investment in the latest machinery whilst maintaining traditional skills. We are committed members of the British Woodworking Federation (BWF) and the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB).
We are fully committed to protect the environment throughout it manufacturing processes. We support the ‘Forest for All Forever®' campaign by wherever possible obtaining our raw materials from suppliers who support managed forestry Licence number FSC® -C129832. The bulk of our waste material is in the form of wood shavings and is collected and used for animal habitation. Any remaining waste materials are sent for re-cycling.
Choice of Colours
Using Teknos Total Factory Applied Protection (TFAP), a water-based painting system which allows timber to “breathe” and adapt to climatic changes, our finishes provide maximum protection against weathering, fungal attack and UV degradation, available in an almost unlimited colour choice, which we can use to colour match against well known paint ranges and brands. By combining topically applied preservation technology, novel end-grain and joint sealing with protective basecoats and a flexible microporous paint system, the Teknos system meets the latest European performance standards. The water-based application significantly reduces harmful emissions and disposal issues associated with solvent based systems. VOC levels are significantly below current and proposed legislative levels, and free of all heavy metal additives.
Warmth and Durability
We use PLANITHERM, for high performance low-emissivity products, incorporating the very latest advancements in thermally insulating glass coating technology.
Renowned for its extremely neutral appearance, SGG PLANITHERM very effectively reflects long-wave heat radiation back into a room, thereby minimising heat loss through a window while also maximising solar heat gain and natural light transmission.
